Fly Little Bumblebee

"According to the laws of aerodynamics, the
bumblebee can't fly either, but the bumblebee
doesn't know anything about the laws of
aerodynamics, so it goes ahead and flies anyway".
Author: Igor Sikorsky
Igor Sikorsky was a Russian American Aviation
pioneer best known for his success with helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft.
Sikorsky crafted the first working helicopter in 1939.
What's most appearent about this particular animation is that it's very
basic. I strictly used geometric shapes combined with movement and sound
to represent a bumblebee.
The bumblebee is made up of several circles, because a single circle would have
been insufficient. In order to accurately represent a bumblebee, in flight! I
needed to add two more corresponding circles moving in a way that internalised
the laws of aerodynamics, which also consolidated the quote.
The most interesting thing I find about animation is how the rules that govern it
can be completely arbitrary so long as there is consistency between all of its
elements, like in this animation, so as to preserve believabilty.
