Nebulae
This typeface was intended to be used primarily as a header
for printed media, such as posters and book covers. I
wanted to use organic shapes to define its structure, as a
result parts of my letterforms are irregular or asymetrical
in appearance with a curvy flow to them.
This typeface feels very technical. I accomplished this by using geometric shapes as the basis for all of my letterforms. Because geometry is a branch of
mathematics, and maths gives us our basic understanding of the universe, geometry gives it that connection with space, because the universe is a
mathematical place. In the end, the solution was simple, because that is the way our universe is, because that is what we designed math to do.
